how useful is this really ? i add stuff and then totally forget about it / dunno what ive added , etc.

every time i go to add one lately i think "hmm, will i really remember that i have this link should i ever need it ? "

The favourite bar thing under the adress bar in firefox is really handy, other than that i don't use favourites very often, but they're definitely useful.

I use the bookmark bar on firefox, its really useful and time saving.

I use bookmarks - For email, takes me straight to my inbox, for gf1 it takes me straight to offtopic (had this as the bookmark since aa.com) and 92bengals takes me to the forum index.
Also have my myspace, photobucket and free porn links bookmarked for quick access....It beats typing out the urls and trying to remember user/passwords...

Definately. You need to make catagories and store your favorites in them. For instance, since i visit alot of car sites, i'll have a folder just for car stuff. Then a folder for games, sports, music, PC tweaks/tips....etc. All you need to do is catagorize them.

I use bookmarks for pretty much everything except google.

I used to use bookmarks in firefox, but stopped after mozilla kept taking a shit and deleting all my saved site. i use IE now and it still has all my old saved favourites. i only use 5 or 6 bookmarks on IE, but its pretty cool to browse at all the sites i flagged a while back. heres a few i havent visited in a while...

My link catergories are Forums, Ebay, File Transfer, Funnys, Fantasy Sports, Sports, DE(work), DVD Ripping, Pr0n and then myspace and my photobucket

before i reformat i archive my favourites. i've got a huge list, maybe about 200 or so of just random shit. when i get my desktop going i'll dig some up and post them because alot of them are worth checking out.
