An eight-month Yahoo! Sports investigation has revealed that Heisman Trophy-winning running back Reggie Bush and his family appear to have accepted financial benefits worth more than $100,000 from marketing agents while Bush was playing at the University of Southern California.

Money isn't everything. I say integrity and honor is definitely worth more than the $100,000.

[/quote:80a55]are you serious? Would you want to be remembered in history as a Heisman trophy winner and have a respectable reputation OR would you rather have taken the $100,000? Seriously, I don't see how they compare.

He should be allowed to take the money...I don't see why there's a rule against it.

ill take 100gs

gtboys34 09-15-2006 08:59 PM

only thing they can do to him now (the ncaa) is punish his former team and strip him of the heisman??

Foolish and greedy, 100,000 dollars after a couple years as a star player in the NFL is not going to seem like much.

Miscguy 09-15-2006 11:18 PM

I fail to see a problem with any of this. If some company wants to spend 100,000 bucks to recruit some dumb ass who will in turn make them millions, so be it.

Sgt>Stackem 09-16-2006 11:06 AM

the biggest problem I have with it is that his greed is going to hurt his former teammates, that is lower than low. He stands to lose the Heisam and millions in advertising cash and alot of respect. I bet Matt Leinert (sp?) is happy to hear this.

I don't know...if I was an advertising company I would still hire Reggie...it's not like he molested children.
