I just saw him in Concert up in Homer, and ed: !

I got a little misty eyed when he busted out 'Freedom'. It was a spectacular performance. He must have broken 7-8 strings throughout the entire night. He shook my hand in the lobby, and said "It's great to see you here, friend. It makes me feel like I've still got somewhere to go."

He played at woodstock, and rubbed elbows with Bob Dylan, Hendrix, and a lot of big cheeses back in the day.

He's a great guy, too. If I had asked him to gimme a hug after the show, he probably would have. biggrin:

Seems to be the case. I guess we'll soon find out.

'Freedom' is the song that jumpstarted his career, more or less. That's the one he played at Woodstock.

He's got a new album out called "By the Grace of the Sun". The title track is pretty impressive.

Also, he plays All Along the Watchtower (Another one to download), and he told a story about how he asked a friend (Bob Dylan, although he never named names) to teach him the song. Then another friend (Hendrix) came and asked to learn the song as well. Hendrix recorded it a month later. cry:
