 Digital SLR question

Ok I know a number of you have Digital SLR's. Currently I own a Fujifilm S5100 4MP with extra magnifier lenses and filters with a few extra things that I want to sell. Essentially i want to use the money to buy a digital SLR. Currently im looking at the Nikon D-series either the 50 or 70s, the canon Rebel XTS or the Olympus E500. What are your suggestions?

My D50 was an excellent buy. I'd recommend it.

d70sssssssssss. d70 is the d50 but a bit beefed up, most important thing is that it has two dials for shutter and fstop; but on the flipside you could buy a d50 body for cheaper and use the extra cash to buy a better lens.

anti, what lens do you recommend for the d50? i have the one it came with (18-55mm) and a 55-200mm zoom lens. i also own an old nikkor macro lens. i was looking for a lens that could produce pics similar to yours. i wanted a fisheye, but i saw the price and said fuck that shit. im looking at a wide angle lens right now....what do you suggest? |

for a starter i would get a sigma 18-200. my brother has one and i'm impressed what you get for such a cheap price. it gets pretty wide and the zooms pretty far. |
