I feel kinda sorry for them, they certainly shouldn't have engaged if they had any doubt though. Even if they were cleared to fire. |
Damn. you'd think there would be better communication between our allies
|
It's unreal. You would think communications would be better, but their not.
Communication within own armies are shitty when you have thousands of troops, let alone when you have an alliance all using different comms. For sure feel sorry for those pilots. And a guy died on the ground who didn't have to. Probably happens more often than we know. Now those guys have to live with that for the rest of their lives. Horrible situation. I am guessing this is an article that goes with the video: http://news.bostonherald.com/internatio ... eid=181742 |
ff has always gone hand in hand with war. its a volatile business, naturally when you're working with that much firepower, fatal mistakes will be made.
i feel sorry for the pilots who not only have to live with the guilt, but also the media saturation this story has been given. i think the media has done a great job sensationalising this story and letting people assume that this kind of thing doesnt happen in wartime. |
Very saddening. I cant begin to feel how those pilots feel.
|
see how the pilot keeps pointing out the orange panels but it continues.
damn shame. sorry for the pilots and the ones getting fired at. |
Quote:
"I dunno, man. Those orange panels. Friendlies maybe?" "Friendlies in this area, Manila?" "Negative, friendlies are well clear of the area." Almost sounds like a script out of a war flick. |
Even though we know that shit happens, it was hard to watch it.
RIP to that soldier |
