The PS3
 

I have a chance to get a PS3 for about 500 CDN dollars from my friend. Im just wondering who has one and if its worth the money in the long run. Anyone know something I dont know? Games good? What can you do with it etc. Thanks

Save your money. At the minute theres really nothing amazing about the ps3 to make it a worthwhile purchase. The majority of the games on it you can get on 360..and they also either look or run better on the 360.

The only thing mine is used for at the minute is basically a media center with some movie rips loaded onto it. Maybe in 12 months or so it'll have something standout on it, but at the minute (as usual with sony) the hype exceeds the content currently available for it.

PS3 - moar liek GAY-S-3, amirite?

i have a ps3 and hostely i havent used it activly since januray. there is no games out for it. the only reason i see getting one is for the Blu Ray player if you have a hi def tv

$500 is too much for a PS3

there would be no reason to own it...except for the fact that MGS 4 and FFXIII will be PS3 exclusives...

As for mgs4, it'll probably be ported eventually despite kojimas bs of "it can only be done on the ps3".

any word on if xbox 360 (who i assume they nmean by other consoles) will get both of those games + the same day it come sout for PS3?

No word on anything like that but more than likely it'll be close enough on release dates if not same day.

It srsly looks like even gaming companies dont want to just limit themselves to a system no one likes.
