England Smoking Ban :)
 

Begins tomorrow morning at 6am dance:

"Regulars at the Prince of Wales pub at Hagley, Worcestershire, are having a smokers' party with free cigarettes and a tobacco-themed disco featuring only tobacco-related hits" lol!

So happy this is happening, I'm so sick and tired of smokey clubs/pubs/city centres.....the smell just makes me sick now.

I used to smoke a bit in high school like a lot of people did, you know, a little weed, the odd crazy cigar, bout 10 a day but one day I just decided I hated it. Stopped and haven't smoked since.

Any current or past smokers here? if so, are the smoking laws changing where you are?

Yup weve had a smoking bam since may or june and its a lot better being able to go into clubs or whatever and not being blasted in the face with a fucking smoke screen as soon you you enter, was so bad at one point i thought some places would be handing out gas masks at the door ffs.

Don't see the attraction in smoking myself, your breath stinks your clothes stink, nicotine marks on your fingers etc. Pretty retarded habit that leads to lost $$ and medical problems often enough.

we've had the ban in Canada for some time now

I've been smoking for about 6 years now, it shocked the hell outta me when I went to Edmonton and went to play pool at a bar and I could smoke in it, I was the happiest person there.

We have a ban that says you cant smoke within 25ft of an entrance to a building. The 25ft part is pretty gay, but the no smoking inside is pretty nice.

meh...if businesses WANTED to have a smoke free bar...they would...it should be up to the establishment and NOT the government

now im ok with the smoking ban...but still i don't understand taking away designated smoking areas in bars like it's YOUR choice to go in and you can be in the bar without smoke...win win...but no they still fuck us over.

the smoking ban happened (the one before the sdesginated smoking ban) 17 days before my 19th birthday...fucking sucked.

if they made some sort of gum or patch that helped you quit, i would.

i only smoke backwards.


plus thank fuck for that, never smelled of smoke when i used to smoke but always smell of smoke because of others.


will like to see it be enforced on people who try to still smoke past the 1st.

we have that here in new jersey, it rules.

fucking gay, people go to bars to drink and smoke, if you dont want to smell it then gtfo. i think smoking is disgusting, but its a common practice and publicly banning it is ridiculous.

you can get the patch for free in Ontario now, but i think you have to get it from a mental health clinic

We've had that for ages....First thing I noticed after they banned it was that when you went into the bars/clubs, instead of smelling smoke, you got great big whiffs of vomit and old beer.

Smells worse than smoke, imo...

Bring it on! I used to be a barman & also hate going out clubbing then having to have 3x showers when I get home kus I can't get the smoke out my hair. Or there's the beautiful sensation or waking up in yer bed the next day & the whole bed/room/house reeks of smoke.
