WTF mate? (computer)

So Coleman hasn't been able to use his real computer in over 2 weeks or so.

My HP Pavilion laptop just dies on me. It turns off randomly and then takes a day or two before it decides the power button will work again to turn it back on.

With that being said, I'm searching for a new laptop (after 2 fucking years...should last longer than that).

I came across the HP TX1000 tablet PC that looks pretty sweet:

I did one of those custom builds on that model and came to something around $1300 or so. That's not too bad imo. I am not worried about a huge HD either since I have a 400gig external.

I have been searching everywhere to find practical reviews for the tablet part of it. I can't seem to find if there is a seperate program that youc an write notes with your handwriting and save them as pdf's or what-have-you.
Anyone know anything about that?

I'm looking for a good media PC and HP's have been real nice to me and my family up until the past two weeks with my dead PC. Luckily, I got all my stuff backed up with my illegal copy of Norton Ghost biggrin:

Any other suggestions? I honestly looked at a Mac and they are just too damn expensive. I definitely can't afford one of those, yet alone willing to pay that much for one.

12 inch screen annoy: i would go with a nice Dell laptop. the Inspiron are nice plus they come in different colours now, the XPS cost too much. if you get Vista i think it comes with windows media center

id look out for those samsung R20 laptops, quite cheap but packed with decent specs plus nice build.

the 12 inch doesn't bother me one bit about it. I will be taking it with me back and forth to classes and doing work inbetween since i'll be having pretty shitty schedules now on. I didn't know if anyone had any experience with any of the touch screen laptops yet.

Fuck Dell, fuck all them main stream shit.

You do your homework, you can find laptops that will bring desktops to their knees for cheaper then the big companies could ever.

My opinion, go with Sager.
