Screw!

I got my new Hard Drive today and was ready to get the old one out. Its on a laptop and the there are 2 screws located on the bottom holding it in. Well i got them both loose and then removed the one. I proceeded to take out the second but it keeps spinning in place. The head isn't stripped but the screw is to deep in a groove to remove with pliars. Anyone have any suggestions?

magnet. or glue.

magnets might fuck up the hard drive, so no for that.

super glue on the end of the screw driver might be an idea.

I don't think a small magnet would do anything, but you could even use a strip of tape.

yeah a very weak magnet provided the screw was itself magnetic, wouldn't hurt the hard drive

Or you could wedge a flathead behind it as much as possible and lever it outwards while unscrewing with another screwdriver. What i normally do with "spinners".

Why not one of those screw drivers with the magnetic tip?
Ive used one before and havent broken any drives

SUCCESS!

I just shoved a thin knife beneath the drive slot and gave it pressure which eventually pushed the screw passed the faulty thread.
