Thats the gif whree you're meant to be able to control what way it spins by using different sides of your brain. Or perceive it spinning differently at least.

Freaked me out when it suddenly spun the other direction. Pity it had nothing to do with which side of my brain I used. The image is made that way..... tricksters

yeah i dont think it really has anything to do with that either, its pretty easy to make it switch directions in your head if you focus on the planted foot and think of it as expanding to the left and right instead of rotating.

if you focus on the shadow of the bottom foot, it can be easily rotated to the other direction.

OK so I was wrong. Watching the image long enough, I could get the foot to spin the opposite direction to the top half! :eek:
