OK, I admit it : I'm new to FPS games. But I am not blind ! In all games I was, I easily can separate a standard player (or a new player) from an expert...
One of those "differences" is the "side-run" technic: you fire, 30, 60 or 90 MG bullets on him, from 5 or 10 meters : nothing ! He runs, using the A et D key (I suppose...). Then he shoots and ... splaaaash : you are dead !

Is it this : the A and D keys, or is there another secret ?

multi takes some getting used to, in single player, you can point and shoot to defeat enemies. In multi it really helps to learn to strafe using the A + D keys. If you stop moving and then point and then fire at the enemy, they will probably kill you first. It is much harder to hit a moving target.

other technics: using shorter bursts with the smg to greatly increase accuracy.

Sometimes i and others try ducking, jumping, strafing, circling all at once - ends up looking like a dance http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif

If you mean strafing, yes it's a good strategy. I won't give away any secrets though.

My mantra is "Be were the bullets aren't".

if u can aim good, and are able to predict what the fool strafing is gonna do next, then u dont have to move, just get a good well aimed shot(s). left right left right left*BANG!* http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
