"Comet" in the northern sky
At about 6:55pm EST i saw what i thought was a comet, but was infact the burn from the rocket of a satelite that lifted off at 5:05 EST this evening...any of you guys see it?

Yeah, it's pretty cold to be stargazing here. But cool find for you. Where was it launched from? It's interesting to me because I think they would only have to fire boosters for a few minutes to get into low earth orbit. After that, they don't need them. So you were either close to the launch site, or it was traveling in the right direction for you to come across it , and it was way up there directly in your line of sight. Where was it launched from? Yes it is. An it will get colder ad colder until anything above 0 will feel like a heat wave.

Watching that video at that angle it almost looks like one of those rotating woman things where it could be seen as coming or going away from earth.
