Over here, they capture stray dogs and feed them to the lions and tigers at the local zoo / theme park. I don't know if they're alive or not at the time.
Most Asians have a total disregard for animals. They're not treated as living creatures. Instead, animals are treated as property, to do with as they wish.

I just can't comprehend how someone can do that. It literally makes me so angry and sick to my stomach when animals are mistreated.

that is a good point - and im not totally serious, but I could never kill a cow or any other animal personally, just because something inside of me tells me its wrong. Western culture gets other people to do the "dirty" work, so we never have to see it.

I heard a rumor that the paratroopers here practice melee combat on live dogs (I guess captured strays), to get them used to the bloodiness of killing. Sometimes they cook and eat the dogs after they're done. :eek:
And this is just Taiwan. Imagine how badly animals are treated in China...

Of course, that's just the tip of the ice burg. There are other countries, Columbia, for example, that do far worse things to animals.
