VGames/Net problem?
 

Every few months I usually ask you guys what you're playing. I haven't been keeping up to date on whats been released and I'm looking to get a game or two... What do you guys recommend? I saw that Crysis was released but I vaguely remember Gerv hating on it? I also have a problem with my net here at school...it makes no sense. Browsing is always speedy, but my connection times out whenever I try to connect to my schools email service. It won't work through my computer jack...I have to go to my friends rooms to check my email. Also, when I play games online here (on the PC), I usually have excellent ping for about a week, and then the following week games aren't even playable--this goes on and on like a cycle...it's so frustrating. I realize this could be due to bandwith and how many kids are using the computers on campus, but I only notice a difference at peak hours in the afternoon/evening. My IT department is a joke too..

Crysis is a decent game but far too demanding for the level of graphics it provides out of the box. Theres a mod though available that makes it look a lot closer to the "dx10 jungle fight" video they released.

Also dont bother with the mp side of things, its fun if you dont mind tools buying sniper rifles and perching cloaked at the top of hills in most maps. "angryfire"


For a good Mp game id reccomend team fortress 2.

call of duty 4 is the best MP out there (for xbox 360 or PS3 that is)

Yeah for consoles maybe, trouble is they ported the console mp over to the pc side and did nothing to change it.. so from a pc point of view it feels dumbed down. I seen a guy getting a 97 kill streak doing nothing but whoring out nades and stacking call ins.

im playing rainbow 6 vegas 2 and ace combat 6 which are both decent.
