yeah, this is old, but from what I read a few months ago, these new stories are supposed to be in line with the Sarah Connor Chronicles on FOX. They're also pretty much based on the revolution rather than on Arnold coming back in time, which is why they aren't verifying if Arnold is in the movies or not.

I read that its basically a new three-part sequel, similar to how the Star Wars Episodes and the Original Star Wars have very little in common besides continuity and name.
