Must be your crappy computer...

Do you think so? Maybe I should call Tom Hanks and ask him? Maybe I'll watch Saving Private Ryan again and get the answer!

Schultz, um, Tom Hanks wouldn't know anything about MOHAA. Neither would Saving Private Ryan (although the Omaha Beach scene in the movie and the game have a lot of things in common). However, there is somebody that would help you, and, with a little effort on your part, resolve your problems. That someone is called a therapist. They're professionals, and they help people like you with major problems everyday.

I was playing on a decent server and the action was heavy. No snipers, which meant we could man the mg42s without getting popped. Anyway, there were about 8 allied soldiers who kept running up the beach. Many would get by so the action up top was heavy too. Then it all stopped. It was quiet. I checked the scores and all the allies were still playing. So I ran down to the beach to check it out.

I couldn't believe this! Every allied soldier was "frozen" in place. Occaisionally they would fire their weapon, but mostly they were stuck in mid-stride. Anyone know what would cause this? Some strange bug or something?

The same thing was happening at the top with the axis players too. Weird!

All Right Green,

Truce?

We've flamed each other enough. I'm sorry I poked fun at your speakers. I was really just messing around. I am serious about firing a real thompson, and yes it would be neat if the guns could sound as dynamic as they do on the big screen. They really do sound quite different when really fired though. So once again, sorry for all the flames.

So you were the only one that could run around? what where the pings? 999 or something? WEIRD

acgreen 03-04-2002 09:05 AM

Aright man. It was all in good fun http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif

Truce.

BTW, I think your problem was lag. I'm on 56k and I lag quite a bit, so that happens all the time. Sometimes the scoretable or whatever happens when you press TAB isn't always instantaneous, so you could've been seeing ping that was good but wasn't really showing the true ping.

Sgt. Schultz: 03-04-2002 09:13 AM

Thanks man!

If pings were erratic, then it was lag. If they weren't, then it's a bug.

Was it a dedicated server? Did this only happen to one team?

It could be anything, really.

Sgt. Schultz: 03-04-2002 09:33 AM

Pings were low. It happened to both teams. There were only a few of us who could still run around. I'm not sure if it was a dedicated server or not. I should have gotten a screen shot. I went to spectator mode and zoomed all over the map and saw about 12 guys frozen all over the place. Then I just left the game for fear it might screw up my computer.
