how much damage will you be able to sustain before you are killed? second will their be crosshairs? It didnt seem like there were in the video third will small chunks of walls be shot out when you shoot them or are their just black marks for holes or 3d type holes thet look like they go in? reply would be great thanks for your time |

How much damage you sustain depends on your skill setting and what's fun. If we are 100% completely realistic, it wouldn't be fun because you'd die too often and the game would be too difficult. If we are 100% completely unrealistic, it wouldn't be fun because your mind won't accept the game.
There will be crosshairs. You can also turn them off, and they don't show up if you don't have a gun. Our special effects will be as cool as we can afford to make them with our technology. Unfortunately, dynamically putting small holes in walls in a realistic fashion without destroying frame rates would take more time than we have for the game, and may not even be possible without making the normal game play look ugly. There are so many polys you can push before the graphics cards slow down... if you want to dynamically add polys by creating holes anywhere in any scene, you're going to have to start out with much lower detail in your scenery. We believe that having detailed environments and high-quality models contributes more to the experience than punching tiny holes into walls with your pistol. http://www.pcgamers.net/ubb/biggrin.gif |

I'd be hoping something along the lines of the damage system in DoD. If you get shot, you can bandage yourself, or maybe while walking around you can hook up with a medic who can give ya some medical treatment and do some better work on fixing you up. I dont think it would be one shot one kill, that would be unplayable, maybe 3 - 4 shots and your in real trouble ?? also limping would be a good feature. I think Coriolis said there would be crosshairs in one of my posts, cant remember which one. As for terrain damage, I got no idea, although small chunks falling from walls has my vote.

When we don't have the crosshair, do we have the gun pointing directly forward like when you go prone or will we always see it like in Counterstrike where it's on the side of your screen?
