I seriously dont want to know lol

I am very impressed with the explosion stuff. They are really stunning, and I would like to know how you guys were able to create it.
- Is it some kind of particle stuff? - I guess a volumetric rendering is out of the question? - Maybe it’s made of real explosion sequences, mapped on a polygon? - I hope you can answer my questions without revealing too much of your company secrets. - By the way, If you want to reveal your secrets, please do. |
Look how he doesn't respond...hmmm.

It's a combination of particles and sprites and other various cool-i-o, neat-o effects that our artist and code-types came up with :).
Honestly I'm not sure how they did those explosions :). I went, 'Hey, I need a sand mortar hit for the beach', and they gave me that. Hence I was happy and didn't ask a lot of questions for fear of being taken into a dark room where I couldn't see anything and all I could hear was a sheep somewhere. No......wait a minute.....that was when I went over to Brad's appartment last weekend, nevermind ;)p. ------------------ ----------------------- Latuh fuh U, Benson benson@2015.com "We don't introduce or cause bugs in the game, we merely find and bring to light the inadequacies within the code." -regarding level designers |
