have you guys discussed anything with them about the MoH universe ? like possible old character cameos . or do you only discuss this with EA ? and also i want to know who's idea was the Omaha level , was it you guys who decided to do a level about the invasion or was it EA ? basically , what i'm asking is if EA has advised on anything you have done as far as level design and storyboard .

DreamWorks Interactive is now EALA isnt it ??, not sure what the LA stands for..Los Angeles ???
But anyway, from the start I'd suspect EA has always been involved, seeing it is their game. The MoH franchise is owned by EA so I's say they've had heaps of input on the storyboard and other features. But eh, what do I know, hehe. |
yea , i meant EALA , but i was wondering if they have discussed anything with the teams that are working on MoH: Frontline also
|
Who is working on MoH:Frontline ?? Hmm good question Polaris. It seems as though all of the games up to this point, even though theres only 2, have somehow been connected with each other, ie characters coming into contact with each other through some means in the missions, and whoever the character we'll be playing in Frontline is, I'm sure he/she, will come into contact with a character from one of the other games. This being the case, they'd probably get the story line from EA/2015 and work off that ?? Maybe ?? I dunno, just guessing.

i read somewhere that they are using the same character they used for the first MoH game . paterson i think his name is

Holy Crapoly !!!! Fighter Command loks awesome !!!! What I'd REALLY like to see is these game all intergrated into one, while online you can have guys playing on the ground and other can be flying bombing missions, escorting, dogfighting...how awesome would that be !!! One big online War like WW2 Online but MUCH better. I hope Fighter Command comes out for PC.

We've been given a lot of freedom from EALA (Dreamworks Inc, who is now a part of EA and therefore, EA :) regarding what we've been allowed to come up with. Bascially they let us write up a whole new character, gameplay, and story elements for the PC version. Our one main guideline is that we have to stay true to the MoH universe, only modifying certain aspects for PC vs. Console gameplay reasons. They've overlooked everything we've written up, provided good feedback and suggestions, and have helped to make sure we stay within our guideline. Overall it's been a great collaboration between us, and I think some great ideas have come forth. But they do give us a great degree of freedom, which is very nice, and we try our best to make sure we keep the vision straight :).
Pretty much all the campaigns were designed on our end (from North Africa, to Omaha :). At first we really wanted to stay away from the same types of missions done in the original MoH, but then we realized that this being the PC, a lot of our new audience probably won't have had the chance to experience the origina PSX versions. So we brought back some elements, and revisited some of the original sites (either before, or after Patterson has gotten there). So there's some good cross-over points in there that fans of the original PSX series should catch and enjoy :). ------------------ ----------------------- Latuh fuh U, Benson benson@2015.com "We don't introduce or cause bugs in the game, we merely find and bring to light the inadequacies within the code." -regarding level designers |
