I've watched the 18MB trailer again and I'm wondering where the rifle shot sounds came from for use in MOH:AA? Were they sampled from a movie (SPR) or was the sound actually recorded of the particular rifle being fired on a range? They sound pretty close to the real thing, that's for sure. The kick of the rifle as depicted in the trailer is definitely accurate.
Food for thought: I'd be happy to record the sound as I shoot my M1 as well as the empty en-bloc clip when hits the dirt. A unique it is. :-) Dave T ------------------ Thank you U.S. WWII combat veterans |

I found the sounds somewhere on this website's front page. You should definitely listen to them they are movie quality sounds.

where are you getting these sounds from?
|
Well.. DoD is a Half-Life mod and they get the actual sounds from firing the weapons at a firing range..
I'd think 2015 would too.. ------------------ http://www.3rdInfantry.homestead.com/files/bladesig.jpg |
The music and sound effects are produced by EALA's (previously Dreamworks Interactive) sound team. In short... they kick much ass =)

The weapon sounds are the actual weapons (with the exception of a limited few) being fired at a range that the EALA guys recorded. They've done an excellent job as well :)
