I had to make a new topic, and by doing this, I am in turn making myself late for work. Hey we got new smilies! Look! Wow, cool. Anywho, as I was saying... Has anyone seen the movie Signs? Iw anted to post this after I saw it on friday, but, well you all know. Anyway, it was a great movie. It made you think and had some great twists. If you haven't seen this movie, see it!

Will see it on Sunday.....if it outs here....or perhaps tomorrow night, see what happens. The ads for it on TV look great, definately worth a look.

parents went to see it a couple days ago, said it was good (mom said it was scary, but they do to just about everything) but i've also heard it was "blair witch lame" so i really have no idea, but it did make a good income last weekend.

blair witch doesnt even COMPARE to this movie. Its awesome. And the scene with the alien walking by at the birthday party.....i almost wet myself

Signs was a great movie......Scary and Funny at the same time. Its from the same director/creator...something from The Sixth Sense, so if you like that movie i suggest you go and check it out. Mel Gibson is golden yet again, and it scared the shit out of me when the alien walks by.....<spanish accent> SHEESUS!!!!

I did jump out of my seat and felt like my heart was going to pop heart, the suspense is great, like whenever it's dead silence, you are listening to whats going to happen next.

Have not seen it yet, but everyone I know has said it is very good, you not overwhelmed with special effects, and what you don't see is what will really scare you,

i loved that movie, awsome. one of the best iv seen ever. It isnt one of those wannabe scary but really stupid movies that i thought it was gonna be, although the end was kinda meh. but overall great movie :P

Yep, great movie. More than just an "alien slugfest" as some would say. Though I don't think the ending compares to the endings of that directors other movies (6th Sense, Unbreakable).

Think my ass. The movie was a collection of fallacies all grouped into one:

- the aliens appear to be a very advanced species capable of interstellar
travel... but given the fact that water is an instant killer, in all their wisdom
they decide to come to a planet predominantly covered with water, step
out of their ships without any protective gear and breathe water vapor in
our air on top of taking the chance that rain will fall: heck, walking around
in a corn field with water droplets everywhere in the corn doesn't seem to
be much of a problem either

- they are an advanced species... and have no alternative method of
feeding themselves but to eat humans - beings made up of 60% water
when water is like nitric acid to these poor fools. Also, they are stronger
and faster than us, can jump on top of a house in a snap... but can't break
down a fucking door or figure a way to break into it. Why would an alien
species capable of interstellar travel need to rely on a fucking crop circle
for navigation ?

- humans have hours to prepare for the invasion... and aliens come down
bare-handed: I am to believe our weapons didn't stand a chance against
these naturally skilled bare-handed fighters ? Hello, baseball scene ?!

- why didn't Mel call the police before going in the house with a captured
alien ? why didn't Mel call the police after the encounter ? Why did he not
arrange for the townspeople to stick together in an enclosed environment
with only one way in and out ? Why didn't he force his family out of the
goddamn crop circle radius, a place known for aliens gathering... ?


I enjoyed this movie while watching it... but hated it after reviewing the
movie minutes later. I can't bring myself to believe people noticed these
fallacies and could still say they truly liked this film. This is appalling !
One of my friends said it best, so I will quote him:
