is there a way to play on servers with costum maps with out going elsewhere and down loading them my self???

You need to download the new maps to play them on the servers running them. Theres no direct download. The server I assist on posts our web site address which provides map packs and single downloads maps. One trick is to be committed to a server or server group which runs a constant set of maps. We have at least 9 tdm map packs and 3 obj map packs, which all about 15 mbs in size. The server tries to keep up to date with the latest maps and the old favorites. So thats how it runs most everywhere. Come check us out. DK666 =CKR= Server.

it is possible too,,,i run a small server with 10 players,,,all my maps are modded,,very cool maps if i do say so myself,,,you dont need to download the maps to play on my server,,,the key to it all is the term server side,,,that mean you can play without downloading,,,,stop by and check it out,,,on the gamespy list,,,,, BUTCHES ULTRAMOD/NODIALUPS is the name of my server,,,,it runs every evining,,,hope to see ya there,,,hope this helped a little ,,,,BUTCHER

dont take everybody at there word about what can be done and not be done,,,case in point,,that goneaway guy,,hes more interested in showin everybody how good he is and playin with grapics then he is helpin you ...i hate when somebody just wants to post something whether there sure about what there sayin or not,,,he takes a guess,,you believe him,,and you never know anybetter...anyway,,,stop by my server and see for your self...BUTCHER
