Is FF wrong?
 

ok, i know people have opinions on this one. whenever i find myself on a server running FF without adminstration playing...well, i can't help myself, i kill my damned teammates!!! i try hard to not do it at times too..LIKE grenades. but other times i just do it for fun...just to kind of start up shit. now i know in my past posts i've talked about respect and fun, but every once in a while i like to start up shit. and this works. so tell me...is FF wrong or right? should it be on or off? share your DAMN opinions. peace. fire2:

Rudedog told me that most of the BF1942 servers are all running FF on. Now, it might be because they didn't realize it's on by default, but he says it's a pain in the ass when you try to run up to a plane to fly it and your teammate kills you just so they can fly the plane. So, I would definitely say it's a pain in the ass for that type of MP game. My general feeling is that I don't like it on because then you have idiots on your team that will just kill you to piss you off.

yeah, BF1942 sucks ass...i have so many things to talk about that are Bad about that game. but yeah, good point. ed:

hmmm BF "sucks ass"? I find it to be a great game, what exactly dont you like about it?

the FF...you can't get into a decent server w/o a password...you dont know you're being shot until youre dead.

It depends, if you want to be serious. I would turn friendly-fire on
to make it more realistic. But on casual gameplay I would not have
it on, because it tends to kill your teammates "SomeHow!"

FF is the best way to play. Your watching your fire. Your shots are more accurate.

But It only takes one idiot to ruin the fun. If you want to tk, then may I suggest you play FFA?

We tried FFon one night and it was a disaster. We also did not have the admins in the server. But we shouldn't need them!

i actually tried playing for fun in the tk room without tking the other night, of course one round later johnny boy over there accidently blew someone away with a shotgun when coming around the corner, who proceeded to respawn with a rocket and shoot johnny boy, and splash damage killed let's say timmy, and it all exploded from there.

i hope some of these people never join the army. but with a game like mohaa where it's basically wander around and kill people ff isn't always the best thing.

Lets just say that there is a time and a place for FF flamethrower: AHHHHH YOU FLAMER n00b, WATCH WHERE YOU'RE POINTING THAT!!! (I love that smilie)

here's my 2 cent...

i've been playing bf1942 multiplayer demo a lot since it came out, usually with FF on, it's true that some jackass will try to shoot you down if you get the airplanes... or even sink their own aircraft carrier and destroyer. but this game is not as fun with ff off... when you drive a tank u have to steer out of your own team land mines, be careful where u shoot... you can't carpet bomb where u like and you have to actually coordinate the attack with inputs from your teammate.... etc etc...

something apart from ff, i like bf1942 very much... it's not about frag count and rambo, sometimes the best player will have negative frag counts coz he always try to take out enemy destroyer, carrier... or every aa guns and turrets even they aren't manned.... using the tactic known as KAMIKAZE eatthis: . team work and strategy. although it's not all that realistic...
