Compare GeForce3Ti200 to latest GeForce4
 

How much better would the GeForce4 be over GF3Ti200? Thanks

Depends which GeForce 4 you're lookling at. A Ti200 has DX8 feature support unlike the GeForce 4MX series, But A GF4Ti4200 has everything the Ti200 has, just faster. If you have a Ti200, and some extra $$$$ I'd advise keeping it until september and getting an ATi Radeon 9700, which is MUCH faster than a Ti4600 (35%), but it will be about $300. If not, keep the Ti200 until the GeForce 4 Ti 4400 get cheaper ($175)

I have the GeForce Ti 4400,I paid USD 250.00 and I don't think the 4600 is much better.
If I was you I would go for the latest card.Don't forget lots of ram.

It would not be worth the cost. You are better off waiting until the next generation of cards come out.(GeForce 5?). One the next generation is on the market, the prices of the GeForce 4s will go down considerably. You can decide then how much money to spend.

With a game like MOHAA, it isn't worth getting the GeForce4. MOHAA uses the Quake3 engine which was developed long before the GF4 came out. It may become usefull to have a GF4 when DOOM 3 comes out, but until then save your money.

Don't forget the new Matrox and Radeon's are coming out, and the GF4Ti4400 price just went down to $200.00 w/ rebate @ CompUSA. So, I assume they will be lowering their prices within the next month.

DO NOT GET THE MATROX CARD!!! I still maintain that the Radeon 9700 is the way to go.
The parhelia might have good 2D quality, But it isnt much faster than your Ti200, unless you want the Surround Gaming, 3 Monitors that display a panorama image of a game (MOHAA doesnt support it)

for every card comparison thread I have ever seen, someone mentions waiting for the next gen card, BAH!!!! when the gf3 were big, ppl said wait for the gf4, when the gf4's started hitting the market, everyone said wait for the 4400/4200, now that those are out, wait for the gf5/radeon 9700, best thing to do, go to bestbuy, buy the best hardware you can afford, test it, return it, go find a cheaper price someplace else :D oh, and btw, 4200 or 4400 is best bet for the casual gamer (coming from someone who uses a tnt2 daily...)

well said and 4 the tnt2 good on ye m8..im runnin a ge-force 2 64mb mx400 and a gig of ram and it runs as nice as i could really ask 4...so until i see a major improvement over the gf4 128mb card im not budging..and as 4 price come to barnsley u can grab a gf4 4600 £110.good hunting
