Trace rout shows 65 ping, server says 90, why?
 

Run a trace rout and I get 65 ping then get on server and I have 90. Why? Obviously, from all my posts, I don't know crap about computers. By the time I learn everything, I'll be a friggin 5 star general here!!!!!

The amount of data that is sent will either have a high ping or low ping. There are many factors that play a role in your ping. congested traffic, programs running in the background, distance from server. I was on another server where my ping was 100 or more and yet i didnt have any lag. But now that i fixed my refresh rate to 85 my ping is better then ever.
