NVidia Refresh Rate fix for XP/2000 not working
I can't get the RRfix to work. I'm running XP Professional, and have a GeForce4Ti 4200 128mb ram, with latest drivers for it.
It says it "could not read my display adapter's setup information." Any ideas on how I can fix this? Cheers. |
Refresh rate fix
Most of the utilities posted here for "Tweaking" the refresh rate
DO NOT WORK for the latest nvidia drivers and may cause problems with your 'puter if you use them Read the entire information on tweak utilities before you use them Get the latest drivers from nvidia. I believe that the latest "Detonator" drivers allow higher refresh rates I installed the latest drivers and now my nvidia software shows 85 hz refresh rate just like my monitor settings =[DOA]=BallBuster |
I have XP home and running a refresh rate of 85. Seems to work on home edition

Refresh rate difference
Here is the scoop....
windows will allow you to set your monitors refresh rate to whatever your monitor will run the nvidia drivers will only allow a max of 60hz tweaking of the nvidia drivers to 85 hz is the key with the new nvidia drivers you can do this in the nvidia controls - previous versions of the nvidia drivers would only allow a max refresh rate of 60hz the tweaks that have been posted here are not designed to work on the latest nvidia drivers =[DOA]=BallBuster |
