How do i edit an existing sound mod?

I was wondering how i could edit a sound mod (fubahs in particular)? i downloaded that "pk3 editor" and i cant figure out how to use it. I just want to take the wizzing sounds and footsteps, glass breaking, etc. (mostly the sound effects) from his mod, but i dont want any of the weapons sounds (its not that fubahs arent good, its just im so used to the default youde pretty much have to pay me to use another weapon sound) thanks for any help. its appreciated. eatthis:

Make a folder on your desktop. Use pakscape or winzip to extract the .pk3 into the folder. Go thoguh and change any weapon sounds you want.

search for Pakscape on google you'll find that there you can take the sounds out of the .PK3 that you don't like.

Sound , skins , etc

For working with sound bro , make it easy on yourself . Do this take a sound mod k and this works for any mod .

Example:

Someone makes a Mauser Sniper Rifle Skin and I like his scope he made but I want to use my base for it and match or use them together .

The first step I will do is make a folder on my desktop and unzip his pk3 like I would a regualr zip file and then take the scope out and palce it in the folder with my base and pack it up . As for sound it is the same way , unzip my pk3 to a new folder and you will see when it does that it has bunches of folders the sounds are in , if you just want the explosions or whatever then go to those folders and copy and paste out what ya want then pack it up but just unzip a pk3 mod or skin you want a piece of to a new folder so it unloads it in its folder destination sequence for you and that way you also will have the file order made for you .

Hope this helps
Fubah
