What are BSP and DCL files? And are they crashing my MOHAA?

In my MOHAA console I read this message:

"BSP files newer than DCL files. DCL files need to be updated."

Ironically, I get this message everytime I lock-up/crash (which is at one area ALL THE TIME...landing at Omaha Beach...I still can't get off the boat). So, would these files have anything to do with me locking-up? If yes, how? And how do I update my DCL files?

My computer specs:
*DELL Dimension XPS 7000
*Pentium III 700 MHz
*256 MB RAM
*Windows XP Home
*Visiontek GeForce 3 Ti200
*Sound Blaster Live! Value
*Logitech 3 button mouse
*All latest drivers and BIOS updates

I've seen this before. Can't remember how to fix it, but I HAVE seen it.

.BSP files are maps, both for SP and MP. .DCL files (I think) are the list of models for objects within maps. I'm not sure about that though. Here's what you can try to do to fix this:

1) If you have any custom files you downloaded, try taking them out, and replacing them one by one, seeing which one gives you the error.

2) Install the V1.11 patch, if you haven't done so already.

3) Reinstall the game. Here's how to do it properly.

[quote:fdc86]a) Start>Settings>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs. Remove MOH. If it asks you to repair the install, don't. Choose remove.

b) Reboot your machine once done.

c) Goto http://www.jv16.org, and download the Registry Cleaner.

d) Use Tools>Registry Cleanup>Do Them All, and remove all the bad MOH keys. Depending on your system, it might delete them automatically, it might not. Watch the list that accumlates from the program. If it accumlates, then dissapears when it's done, it deleted the bad keys automatically. If it sits there once done, you need to select all the bad keys, and delete them all.

e) Reboot the machine

f) Reinstall MOH

g) install the V1.11 Patch

h) Run the Auto-Config in the MOH directory.

I) Boot up MOH.[/quote:fdc86]

Hope that helps!

Thanks...

Actually, I have that program from Jouni Vuorio. I use it a lot. I did not however know about the "tools>clean up>do them all" selection. I had over 1900 bad keys! Got rid of them. Maybe this will work. Thanks again. I'll let you know.
