MOHAA Dedicated Server Setup Problems
I want to setup a dedicated MOHAA server, but I'm having trouble. I highlighted what I think is the problem in red. I have the latest patch. Does anyone ran into this problem before and know how to fix it? I would appreciate any information you can provide. Thank you!

I've seen this numerous times. I'm not really sure what the solution was, but I think it was that you need to reinstall MOH. If that is the case, you can do so properly here:

can we see your command server.exe line?
The location this line in you post bothers me: execing server.cfg It tries to exec after the server initianalization is complaeted. Thats wrong |
I have tried reinstalling MOHAA three times and on two different computers.
My command server line looks something like this: "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\MOHAA\MOHAA.exe" +set dedicated 1 +set ui_console 1 +set g_gametype 3 +set sv_maxclients 12 +map dm/mohdm1 +exec server.cfg Thanks again for your help. I really hope we can figure this out. I've seen posts with people explaining the same problem I'm having, but no one seems to know what the problem is. |
Hey Adamnp, I just fired up my dedicated server and that output is EXACTLY what mine says. I run this server 7 days a week without a problem!!
Maybe you can tell us what the EXACT problem is. Your command line looks fine, and your server.cfg location is ok too. I see by your output file that you are on a Lan, maybe its a firewall issue. You need to remember also that if you create a ded server game from within a shared network (Lan), you will not be able to see the game listed on Gamespy unless you are on a computer thats outside your network! You can only get to your own game by selecting Lan Game in Multiplayer. |
back to all the crap you highlighted in red. I get this every time I start my server, but you know what , it still runs. I bet your server is running and you dont even know it. Have someone try to connect to your IP and see if it works.

Thank you guys, you've been great help!
Yes, I'm behind a firewall, but I put my server in the DMZ. Ports don't matter when I'm connecting thru LAN. Problem is I can't find the server thru LAN. I have multiple computers on my LAN and not a single one can find my server when it's running. If I start the server thru GUI instead of console it works no problem. oOo: Any more ideas? It's probably something stupid. I followed all online guides I can find to a T, but all merit same results. Thanks again. |
