alpha channel?
 
ok I'm using photoshop 7 and I have a picture created by a friend and we want it as a loading screen for a map that we are creating.. Anyway it says i need to add a alpha channel??? So I open the tga in photoshop...What do i di next to add the alpha channel, since we are on the subject what is a alpha channel? why do i need it and is it true thiers more than one alpha channel? i think i want the transparency one.

Well in photoshop theres a lil box in the bottom right of the screen and then theres a butoon that looks like a a moon with half of it being black. Push that and yur ready to go.

An Alpha Channel is a mask. Generally grey is translucent (see-throughable but you can still see it slightly), white is opaque, and black is translucent. I have never used the program you are using but try looking for Masks on the toolbar. That how it is with PSP.
