Problem with weapon skins.
 

-The weapon skins that I download don't work.
-I put them in my main folder. And, unzipped them, into my main folder.
-They still don't work. I don't see the change in the weapon's apperance. And, others aren't carrying the skin I downloaded.
-Please, tell me how to do it properly. This is my first time dealing with weapon skins.

OK most skins dont work with testure commpression on. Its in video settings and all u have to do is uncheck that and they should work.

Although it is true about the Texture Compression, I would not recommend it because it makes the rest of the game look pretty bad. If you convert the "tga" file into a "dds" file then the skins will work fine with Texture Compression on.

Hey what about the convert to .dds? Ok, u conver to .dds but doesnt the file HAVE to be a tga to work? Im kinna slow here maybe but i dont get ya......explain?

The .dds file is a compressed image, a tga is sorta compressed. If you have a skin with ONLY tga, it won't work with file compression turned on. If you have only a dds file, it won't work with it off (never tried that, but I don't think it would.) The best solution is to have both a dds AND a tga.

LoL, ok still so intead of puttin the weapon skin .tga i would put say mp44.dds isntead of the tga?

Well, you need a .dds plug-in, but yeah, essentially.
