My new skin can only be seen when 'forced'
 

I can see my new skin in the Options Menu and also in the game but only if I force it. My buddy and I can't use it in a game otherwise. (We see the default soldier instead of my new skin.) Must be some lame mistake but I can't find it and I've gone over pak file a zillion times.
That means it's working on our individual computers but somehow the info is not being sent correctly ?
Does anyone recoqnize the symptoms?

Skins cant be seen unless your friend has the file and also it is uploaded onto the server your playing on.

Sorry... Should have made that clear. We do have the same skin pak on our computers. I also sent it to another friend & have the same results. I'm really ticked because his new skin works & mine doesn't. we've both reviewed the paths & files. It must be a mistake but we just can't find it.

I read on another forum about sometimes a pak has to be directly unzipped into the main folder instead of copy & pasted?
But then, again, his works & mine won't.

u sure youve named the tik. files correctly. it should say allied_ or german_ at the front of them so they work properly in the game.

I named the tik file User-Jodad-skin.tik
I haven't tried it yet but that has to be the problem.
