is there such a scope? i dont knoew if its even a realistic thing or not.
Anyone here use rl scopes? do they show you full range view or when your lookin thru the scope..is half of the view cut off?

yes there are scopes like that but its not realistic

ok..didnt know it would be considered a cheat. but since its not realistic i wont use it...even though i dont see how that would actually be a cheat. a modded gun, skin, sound file, modded anything would be considered a cheat i guess. haha..

As a sniper you have the long distance advantage of looking through the scope. But, you also can't see much of your surroundings because well, you're looking through a scope. You have to scan around to see targets and you can't see certain enemies that may be flanking you.

You have more range but less field of veiw.

Now take away the restricted field of view - basically you can run around with zoom on and have no problem seeing anything outside of the normal field of view in a scope.

Yeah, I say it's a cheat.

holy crap...sup winters! havent seen ya much. been playin on other servers for awhile now. you should come visit the vx9 realism server and the v for victory custom maps server. that last server has all the latest maps..all the time :)

Actually, it is somewhat realistic. Snipers generally have two eyes and only one can look thru the scope. Most people will close the second eye (almost always the left one) when looking thru the scope. With a little practice, it is very easy to shoot with both eyes open, and generally, professional snipers do practice. the extra eye will give the shooter a bit of peripheral vision and he can see things down range not in the scopes field of view, but not magnified like the mod is.

Now - does it being somewhat realistic have anything to do with it being cheap and or a cheat? No, none what so ever. Its a game and realism/realistic has nothing to do with what is fair.

If you want to know what he's talking about, just picture a sniper scope that looks like when you die in an OBJ match, and you're forced to follow another player. If you follow someone with a sniper rifle, you will see the whole screen in zoom.

yup just like that... I shoot any scoped rifle like that. doesnt take much practice. though for the purpose of the game i would consider it cheating.
