How do I get my server listed in Gamespy?
Hi all,
I've setup my first MOHAA FFA server but althouh I set gamespy to show in the gamespy browser it isn't there? Does it take some time to get listed or do I need to submit it somewhere? I'd really apreciate any help because I can't wait to get it seen by everyone! -=L9NUX=- |
if you've checked the "use internet (gamespy)" then it should show up in the browsers. Sometimes when I start my server I could wait 20 minutes until somebody shows up, or I could wait 10 seconds, it just depends on your luck.

Got it working...
Hi,
Thanks for the reply, but I was setting up a dedicated server behind a firewall. I had to study my firewall logs in the end to see why it wasn't getting through, and although port 12203 was allowed through I had to allow the following: UDP: 6500, 6515, 12201, 12202, 12203, 12210, 12300, 13139, 27900 TCP: 28900, 29900, 29901 Most of these are Gamespy ports that I guess are required for the Gamespy browser. |
You are correct sir.
Any time you use a firewall you need to open a lot of ports for gamespy. I always wondered why gamespy needs all these ports! |
I am having the same problem as u i noticed that only 12203 was going through how do i get the rest of the ports to go through?

allow | TCP/UDP | all local ports | all remote addresses | all remote ports sounds unsecure but its not. r3mix |

Your router. Break out your manual and find out how to access it.
Should be under routing or port forwarding |
