Anyone know the SSH command to remote reboot a linux server?
I cant restart TS untill the server is rebooted. If anyone knows the command to remote-reboot a linux server via SSH please let me know :P
|
I assume you mean the machine? Or restart the server itself?
The reboot command in linux should reboot the machine. If for whatever reason it wont allow it because you're connected via SSH try echoing the appropriate lines into a perl script. I'd also add a brief wait period to give you time to disconnect lest it cause you problems. Then invoke the script. I forget where I saw it but some linux version of a stats program had a perl script in it to restart the server, not the machine. Search it out? |

Thanks.
Its a moot issue, I dont have root access and the server didnt need restarting anyway. |
the command is "gracefull"? heh or is that just a pw?

Password?
Joe,
Once you are logged in through SSH in a linux server as Root "SU" - you dont need further passwords "Gracefull" just tells apache not to restart until any other operations that may be running terminate first =[DOA]=BallBuster |
Ah. Well excuse me! heh J/K
I want to learn Apache script, along with PHP and MySQL. |
