New VEHICLES ! Yes i know they said it couldn't be done
Well who ever said that was talking, a load of boll....s as usual !!
I've just done a driveable BULLDOZER :-) Will be uploading the pk3 later today for you all to try out. But in the meantime here is a screenshot: * All credit for the actual BullDozer model goes to SmallSumo (my m8 :) ) I just did the scripting to make it work. Which means that we can design ANYTHING and make it drivable ! So come on folks get your creative thinking hats on. http://www.duncanweir.co.uk/temp/dozer.jpg http://www.duncanweir.co.uk/temp/dozer.jpg |

lol
... ok so if you want to design some new vehicles here is what to do. Design the vehicle in MohRadiant as a set of brushes. Then select all the brushes, and change them to a script object give it a targetname Then send me the prefab and i'll add it to the new vehicle test map i'm creating ... we can have a whole garage of them. Then i'll write a script to make your vehicle work. I intend to put the map and script on my web site for everyone to download. And update it as new vehicles come in. I'm working on a trailer for vehicles and BOATS at the moment, watch this space. |
How about this:
We could do a huge navy SEALs theme, with C47s rotating above the map, and ubber dingeies (rubber rafts), with drive in at the start of the game, and only come in once, all respawns after that would be in the plane. |
it's all possible.
most mappers just don't know that this sort of thing is possible. already have a plane (c47) that flies and has a solid interior with spawn points for paratroopers. And the parachute script and new parachute model is 99% done. So when i've finished the boats and got some new vehicles, mohaa maps will enter a whole new phase. |
Scorpio you are da man ....
I have about 6 vehicles i modeled in 3d max. I will open them in GTK radient and save them as MAP files. I thought about this but only as eyecandy like a parked somfin a few well made brushes etc: Never thought you could script em to move. Tho the only thing that stopped me doing it b4 (making nice parked vehicles) was the insane amount of texturing to get them to look right. Will convert them later this week and send them to you. Well done (ever notice that gets said a lot to you ;p). kdja |
lol scorpio. i made these when the editor first came out.
i started off small. this is an f-16 fighting falcon fully armed w/ drop tanks. and an a10 warthog... and this is the f-22 raptor that hasn't been finished yet... and some vehicles on the tarmac: a tractor w/ bomb cart and a forklift. just rough outlines. not finished. and of course there's the parachute. |

but that parachute really interests me, i'll have to speak to ya when i finish the parchute script. That chute is just perfect ! |

Instead of all these modern vehicles, why don't you guys make real historical vehicles? I mean this game is in the WWII era. Yeah, about most of the common WW2 vehicles are on MOHAA already but look for vital ones.
The Russian and British tanks aren't on here so there's a good start. |
