MOH:AA is coming out in a few months. (yay!). The number of n00bs gonna be coming here is going to continue to double. Now, obviously they can't all be shining examples of noobs like i was (heheheheehhe) so, i propose 2 things be added to help them feel more at home here.

1: Newest member bar: At the top of the screen it should tell you who the newest member of the forums is. So, if "Carp" decides to join, at the top it would say
"AA.com welcomes it's newest member: CARP" and when you click on carp it gives a profile.

2: All important, the newbies page. It should be put up on the forums index. The page is a place for newbies to come and introduce themselves, so they aren't just dropped into the oddness of the general forums and it's associated spamming. If you can catch them at the newbies page and make them feel at home, you can prevent future problems.

Those are just my 2 cents, but i think it would make a very good addition. I'm certain someone might have mentioned this before, i just think it was important enough to be brought back up. Thanx

i believe new people should be reinforced to read the forum rules (which should also be redone) and they also should be encouraged to read the DeveloperQ&A before posting repeated questions in the developer forum . then maybe also have the squadleaders encourage the newbies to read their guidelines and info on joining their squad by way of their signatures untill and if the squad forum goes live , because alot are interested in joining one right after they register to the forum .

what i really want to see is an Anouncement section above the Forum Index with new changes and updates .

i like the idea of new users getting shown at the top

That would be difficult, because looking and reading are two different things and we cant force people to read. People would still be asking stupid questions, because dont have the patience to read that terribly http://www.pcgamers.net/ubb/biggrin.gif long Q&A...

It's moving, but for some odd-ball reason the freaking members script won't work on the new server. I'm GUESSING that no one likes to re-register and lost your rank and post count? http://www.pcgamers.net/ubb/smile.gif

As soon as everything is done and over with I'll consider (and some I've already decided to implement) some of the ideas that you guys have provided. Thanks for da input.
