Console Command
OK. I have seen quite a few posts talking about there are ways to see what PK3 files someone has on their system while on your server, or some other console commands that assist an admin. Where can I find a place that explains how to do these console commands. I'm not talkinga bout the basic console commands like kicking or server info. I am also not looking to change any of my graphic settings. Just commands that will help an admin run a better server. Any help here?

Anybody?

You want to know how an admin can use a console command to see what .PK3's other players have? Is that what ur asking?
|
That would be a good place to start. I saw something about it in another thread somewhere but no info on how to actually do it. Also any other commands that admins generally use to control what is going on in the server. Not for setting it up, or tweaking graphics or any of that stuff, just commands that might help to make it a fun place to play. Being able to kick someone is good, but what others are there that might not be so common to someone who has never played UO or one of the other games where these console commands were comon.

OK..no answers here so I got it off another forum. Thanks anyway.

you would use rcon dumpuser "name" this will show you the skins they are using and various other things about their system
|
rcon dumpuser "name" heh? That's is a good one if it works. I will try that out.

wot forum did u find the pak3 rcon commands cos i have been lookin for them for a while, i know the dumpuser one swordfight:
|
OK, I tried this and it works well, for those names that are simple one word names. However if a name has a space in it such as "Big MOMMA" then it doesnt work (or at least I dont know how to make it work) Same goes for names with characters in them like clan names for instance /|r51[Sfc.]-MOMMA. Do you know how I can make this command work for these types of names as well?

ok. i dont know the answer for what your asking. but you where asking for server consol commands before. well here are a couple.
sv_gravity XXXX sv_runspeed XXXX sv_walkspeed XXXX type these to ajust runspeed and walkspeed and the gravity in your server. the X's being the numbers you want to type in. you can check what the default numbers are by simply typing one of the commands with a number after it. and it will display what it is set to at the moment. (only for server admins) if thats to complicated, lol. then here is default run and walk speeds. walkspeed "150" and runspeed "250" for gravity i dont know cuz i never use it. but if u r looking to stop people from jumping off roofs or balconies , or throwing granades large distances, then setting gravity to "1500" or "1700" usually is best. but be carefull with your nades after that cuz they wont be going anywhere far, make sure u got cover, and dont aim to high, cuz it'll just plop down in front of you:) anyways, i have also been looking for a forum thread that has consol commands. such as ones to access a server from another computer. so if i set up a server someware how would i put a password on it, and do i need a user name? then how do i access it from in game on another computer? thx |
I think someone with some real knowledge of these commands could really do some good by posting them. Then when people like us have these questions, we could just be pointed in the right direction. Maybe someone has done this already.

Nope, I did not try putting the name in quotes. I will try that. The other names that worked have not needed quotes. But I will give it a shot. You think this might help with the space between their name?
|
Yes it should help. Its the same tactic thats applied to kicking a player with spaces in the name without status and numbers such.
IE: kick "That lame Guy" should work the same for dumpuser, command. |
