Calling a vote when playername has a space
How do you call a vote when the said player's name has a space?
All I get is "not a valid player name". I've tried using underscore, no joy there either. Any help would be appreciated, cheers. |
kick "player name"
|
I am typing that.
For example: callvote kick hunter - this works fine, callvote kick Russo Otario - this doesn't. I am SURE I typed the correct name in. |
Are you using " marks around the name?
|
Can also do:
In Console type: Status (this lists the players on your server. To the left of their name is a number between 0 and 40, depending on how many people are in the server. This number is their "client number") Then type clientkick and their number. Like this: clientkick 3 (3 being the person you want to kick!!!) |
I would recommend using wolf-man's second suggestion. If you the admin then use the status command. Then kick the disruptive player by his client number . Much easier and less of a hassle when spaces are present.

cheers folks.
I'm not the client, it's just I play regularly on a no rocket server, and there's always someone who finds it funny to use them. When no admin is around, people just moan without being able to do anything about it. |
Just to 2nd what Wolf said: The cmd callvote kick player will work UNLESS the player has a space in their name. If they do, you MUST use the " " around the player's name, otherwise it's just looking for the first word to boot.

Got it now, thanks all.
