Newbe: Question for new uniforms
 

Hello !

Please don´t kill me for this question, but i´m a reaaal newbe...

If i have downloaded new uniform skins (e.g. 8th army).
Why didn´t they work ?
I mean, they appear in the multiplayer menue to chose, but in the game i have always the normal wehrmacht soldier uniform ....

I send the uni´s to my friend, he can chose too, but in the game: wehrmacht soldier....

Is it not enaugh, that we both have the uniforms in our game ?
(OK, the others don´t see it ... of course ... but we both have to see them , no?)

Or have i to edit some special file ?

Any custom skin has to be server side. Meaning the server has to have them in order for you too see them

Hm, so i think hard to bring Skins to work ?
I think not so much servers have the skins ... ?

There are like a thousand (or even more) skins and every day, new ones are posted, so it 's kind a impossible for servers to have 'em all.

I once made a post here to create a skinpack with all the realistic ones, but no-one wanted to help :(
And I'm not planning on doing it all by myself, cause I don't have the time for that (mapping already takes enough of my time)

If it only was as simple as in IL2 Sturmovic... you edit your skin and everybody can see it hake:

yo ghost, im not real good with skins myself but im pretty adept with pk3's so if you want help makin that pack id be more than happy to. plus that way i could make sure my own fav's go in. ive already got my favs all in 1 pk3 anyway so i could just add from there.
