ok i made a health bar and put the 3 files in for it and all i see is the getting hit yellow one and then it fades out and i see nothing

make sure you didnt color the backing and healthbar too dark. first time I tried making a health bar i had the same problem until i realized that i had it dark blue and it was just fading into the screen. but that is a simple answer, probly not ur problem.
