Im on cable now, i host a server (10-12 guys), my adsl isp is havin some good x_mas promotions. Is it safe to switch? Could i still host servers? Is it worth the savings? Any input would be...

turns out it was that my "use proxy server"...

turns out it was that my "use proxy server" setting was turned off.
it increased my download speed by 150-200k! biggrin:

i run a server on a cable connection. i set the sv_maxrate command to improve performance (thanx to this forum) wink: . now i can handle 10-12 people no problem. even guys playing with 300-400 ping...

auto kick works fine untill i try running my server dedicated, then the messages dont show up in the game eek:

it says... unknown command "say"
