c will change to outside the plane you have to cycle through all the views to get back to the cockpit. F9 will just remove the cockpit view so you can see what you are doing.

Or you could get a video card with an S-video output. Then just hook it up to a VCR or recorder of some kind (Hi-8 or DV). Thats what I did. It's much eaiser then using software that usally won't do...
