I'm curious if anyone would change their views if they were directly affected.
Arkan, I would hope that I am a big enough person to stick to my beliefs. The set I have come to something like that is a girl I was a coworker or was raped and murderd. The man did get life sentenc, Her father whom I met at her funeral, and kept in touch with for several years following, did not believe in the death sentence either, he was distraught over losing his daughter in such a violent act, but he still felt it was wrong to take another persons life, whether in the name of justice or not. What he did do though is every year around her birthday he would send a letter about the girl's chilhood and dreams to the prisoner. He got one reply, the man said, he was sorry and he wished he was dead.
