I wanted to put this out for thought as well as to get some feedback on the subject as it's something we're (The Mohaa Crew) are thinking about doing to coinside with the release of Spearhead or shortly there after. If I can get answers to these questions it would be very appreciated.

1.) Would you be interested in a mapping contest that had two categories - DM/TDM/RB (the map would have to be all three) and OBJ. Prizes for each category would be:

$100 1st Place
$75 2nd Place
$50 3rd Place

2.) If the map judges were selected from several major MOHAA Sites such as AA.com, TMT, PMOH etc...and a set 100pt grading scale was used for judging the maps would you consider that as being fair?

3.) What would be a good length of time to run the contest as all maps would have to be completly new and no converted maps would be allowed. I know a good map takes a while to make.

1 month?
2 months?
3 months?

4.) As we're talking about a total cash prize value of $450 would you be willing to pay a small entrance fee to help offset the cost of the contest? If so, how much?

I've talked to a few mappers and have gotten mixed replies so I thought I'd put it out here and see what kind of feed back we get.
