[quote:9d267]MWUHAHA! Prepare for the attacks on both sides! I'm not to into govnt. but how I view it is, Demacratcs are more at home stuff then Republicans are more war and far off affairs.[/quote:9d267]

I'll break it down to you -

REPUBLICANS - Small Government

DEMOCRATS - Big Government

That's the gist of the two major parties. Republicans believe in a small government that lets Americans handle their own affairs, i.e. decresed health care, and welfare. Democrats of course WANT to help the litle man, so they want more money and aid for needy Spanish immigrants.[/quote:9d267]

Or you could say

Republicans - Rich Man. (short term- 5 year plan)

Democrats - Poor Man. (long term - plan for our childerns children)

The republicans believe that with less government interference in Big Business sector, the trickle down theory will shut the poor up. You know the more crap that trickles down, the faster the poor get buried under it.

Democrats believe that not everyone is born with a silver spoon in their mouth. That some people actually need help getting by,(unfortantly, they set up system that is abused by to many people), that other things besides profits for the already rich is important. Also without govenment oversight a lot of companies will do more damage to the environment in the name of a qiuck profit today. [/quote:9d267]

That's odd. My father, a middle class working man, wholehartedy supports the Republican party, so maybe that assumtion was a bit farfetched, on both ends. As I am quite young, I can't say for sure what either party truly stands for. Through the viewpoint of my parents (one of which is a Democrat, the other a Republican) I can see that the Republican party favors free commerce with the government only acting to enforce the nescessary laws, similar to what Thomas Jefferson felt. They also seem to favor earning an income through working, as well as what they earn through work is rightfully theirs, and the government has little right to take it from them, although most do recognize the fact that taxes are nescessary.. not all of which are proper.

Just west of the Greater-Boston area, there are small, wealthy communities. Many of those people try to leave those in need out of their towns (although they would never admit it..). The numbers show that the majority of people in those communities are Democrats, interesting, isn't it?

All too true. Generations get by on government funded programs sponsored by our hard earned tax dollars. The same people that do not bother to get a job, or actually make a living for themselves.
