As far as framerates go, the Snowy Park from original MOH is actually one of the faster maps out there. Not alot for the computer to draw. I think the reason why people don't like that map is they can't camp corners, and there are just to many ways to move through it. Not to belittle anyone, but the good majority (50-75%) of people are familar with one or two routes, and just can't handle having 4-5-6 routes to move through. I look at some of the maps out there, and there are quite a few good ones. I guess it breaks down to trying to make maps good for everything - sniping, stalking, rushing, etc. Favoring one of the other is what gives a bias towards a particular type. The only thing that really kills maps is the spawnkilling. I have to laugh at the _vast_ majority (85-95%) of people who sit and kill people as the pop up and think they are good.
