You have to edit the registry (be carefull!!)
Start REGEDIT and navigate into the follwing directory:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\EA GAMES\Medal of Honor Allied Assault\1.1.12.XXX

rename the Foldername "1.1.12.XXX" to "1.1.12.200" for the US version
or
rename the Foldername "1.1.12.XXX" to "1.1.12.100" for the UK version

Update.

in my case the folder name was 1.2.1.190 so i changed it to 1.2.1.100 and it worked fine
