Blood...gore...who cares? I want the game to be a realistic simulation of ww2 infantry combat, with realistic weapons, sounds, and graphics (but I rate graphics as the last thing I worry about).
The immersion factor is what I am in it for. Does it make you travel back in time...and...will it make you feel as if your really there. You know that's the Holy Grail of gaming...when it makes you forget where your at, and actually physically and emotionally respond to the game.
I don't care about blood and gore, and quite frankly, unless you blow somebody's leg off with mortars, artillery, grenades, etc., you wouldn't see much blood anyway. Sure, if you fill the poor guy full of a 250 round MG42 belt, your going to see all of his blood spill to the ground. But, why is this a big deal??
I personally don't care...blood and gore don't necessarily mean total immersion for me. Maybe if I was playing a serial killer simulation...then maybe I'd want blood and gore.
Just give me tons of uniforms, weapons, sounds, etc. and a ww2 sim. I'll be happy with no blood at all.
