Besides the fact that the sniper rifle is very innaccurate without the scope. Try it some time. Stand a few feet away from a door or wall where you'll be able to see the bullet holes easily and shoot at a spot. It won't hit exactly. Then, without moving the mouse, put on the scope and fire again. It will be exact. One time I remember sneaking up behind somebody with a sniper rifle like 3 feet away, aiming at his head, and missing. Complete BS.
